The effects of high protein meals on glucose control in pre-diabetic adults
26 January 2021
We require volunteers for a PhD research study. The study will assess if the acute consumption of proteins will affect blood glucose and insulin concentrations in obese or pre-diabetic participants. We are looking for individuals who are pre-diabetic or obese aged between 30-65 years old. You will be asked to visit the high performance laboratory on four occasions where you will consume 3 meals of chicken breast. Small blood samples, glucose infusion and muscle biopsies will be taken.
